Lensroll Directory Permanently Closed

Over the past 7 years it has been a great experience to build a social sharing & bookmarking site for the member's of Squidoo, Wizzley, Hubpges and Zujava in order that they could share their stuff and get a good back link.

But alas to say the days of the directory have come to an end.

Our reasoning for shutting down the directory stems from changes that Google is making to their algorithm in mid 2013. These changes have "spooked" Squidoo  into making some pretty bad choice. Basically they have decided have flag sites like Lensroll directory and the now de-funked directory at Squid Utils as bad link neighbors.

So, as of May 24, 2013 the Lensroll Directory was permanently taken offline in order to protect the integrity of all the original content that has been shared with our users over the years.

The site will be re-purposed over the next few months. Please drop in on us over the next few months to see what we are up to.

Lensroll Registration Temporarly Closed

We have closed new registration to the Lensroll directory until email verification security has been revamped.

We'll' turn it back on soon.

403 Forbidden - search.php

We have run into a server issue and cannot set the attribute on the search.php script.

This effects tag search and normal search functions. The function returns a 403 Forbidden error.
This has been verified; all out links are temporally effected. No back link or anchor text associated with submissions.

The link still works fine, but the search engines cannot get past the 403: forbidden to read the attributes.

We are working hard to get the problem resolved.

UPDATE:

This has been resolved. Search function is now back to 100% efficiency

Lensroll Update - January 31 2009

This month has been somewhat taxing. There were several attacks on the system which exposed a few weaknesses in the db.

During the coming month will will be moving out of beta and installing the newly released Pligg ver 1.0. The upgrade is will involving updating the database tables to the new release. Also submitting and new registration will be shut down until after the upgrade is complete.

Crazyness continues

We are still beating the bugs out of the system.

Several users report that the vote button was not working. The js script for executing java function has been found to be the culprit and has been rebuilt.

After several whacks we have restored the vote button and live page display.
